MARTO WAKIZASHI CRANE

The wakizashi, the weapon of honourable men in feudal Japan, could also be worn by socially respected citizens, while the katana remained reserved for the samurai. The small sword was carried on the obi and was more advantageous in small space than the longsword. The short sword was also used for ritual suicide or to cut off the head of a killed enemy.

Katana and Wakizashi formed a sword pair, which is called Daisho.
